​Playful Paws Cat Café was created to bring people and adoptable cats together in a calm, welcoming space—where connection, comfort, and second chances come naturally.

Since opening in 2023, the café has helped over 400 cats and kittens find their forever homes, while giving the Bend community a place to relax, recharge, and enjoy some much-needed cat time.

​

The idea began during COVID, when fostering kittens made one thing clear: adoptable cats need more visibility—and people need more opportunities to connect with them in a relaxed, everyday setting. After visiting another cat cafe on vacation, it was easy to see that Bend’s animal-loving community would embrace a space like this.

​

Playful Paws is independently owned and operated, and very much a labor of love. What started as fostering quickly grew into a deeper commitment to helping cats find homes and creating a space where people can slow down, connect, and experience the joy cats bring.

Today, the café partners with a local rescue organization to support adoptions, while offering a unique experience for everyone—from dedicated cat people to first-time visitors.
