About the Cafe
At Playful Paws Cat Café, we love our animals and aim to create a safe, fun, and entertaining environment for them to spend time with our visitors, and vice versa. Our belief is that there should always be a place where people and animals can relax and celebrate their love for each other.
We also know that Bend is an amazing, supportive, animal-centric community. That’s why we created our Cat Café here. We are hoping to become a top destination for anyone looking for a relaxed, indoor experience (because even in Bend, you can't be outside ALL the time) and some cuddly cats. What are you waiting for? Who We Are
So who are these crazy cat people?
We are the Ferguson family - April, Matt, Caitlin & Nathan - and we can't wait to meet you.

We relocated to Bend in 2020 from North Carolina, for Matt's job at Lonza. Four years later, we've settled in, made some friends, and learned that Bend is a truly awesome place to live.
April has been a corporate event manager forever and wanted a change. She considered opening a coffee shop, bookstore, or a food cart lot, but none of them felt right. Fostering kittens for the Humane Society of Central Oregon fueled her lifetime love of cats, and reminded her how much they need our help, because even the most independent cats sometimes can't help themselves.
After a visit to the Lucky Cat Café & Lounge in Louisville, Kentucky, the lightbulb came on. A cat café! The purrrfect place for people and cats to gather, to create their own little community, and to help each other. And so it began.
After months of hard work, we've finally brought the dream to life! We are so grateful for the support of our family, friends and the Bend community. Welcome to Playful Paws - we're thrilled you're here!
