Position: Front Desk Associate (aka Assistant Cat Herder)

As the welcoming face of Playful Paws Cat Café, you play a crucial role in creating a positive and memorable experience for our visitors. Be the purr-fect fit for our small business and be prepared to make a meaningful impact!

 

Responsibilities:

- Welcome customers with a warm smile as they enter the café.
- Efficiently manage check-ins for cat lounge reservations and facilitate walk-in reservations.
- Assist customers in selecting beverages and snacks.
- Provide information about the cat café, our feline residents, and the adoption process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization on the café side, ensuring well-stocked merchandise, drinks, and snacks.
- Check in with customers in the cat lounge, acquainting them with the lounge rules as needed.
- Perform general animal care duties, including waste removal, feeding, and thorough cleaning.
- Tackle various tasks as needed to contribute to the smooth operation of the café.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

- Exceptional customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stay composed and handle multiple customers seamlessly during busy periods.
- Strong communication skills to guide guests through their initial cat café experience.
- Comfortable with technology, including learning and using various apps for point-of-sale and reservations.
- Retail experience is a valuable asset.

- Willingness to clean thoroughly and often, following protocols and procedures.

- Have or be willing to get an OLCC Alcohol Service Permit.

This part-time position requires availability on weekends, occasional weeknights (Wednesday to Friday), and some holidays. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Above all, a genuine love for cats is a must!
